Just a thought... If a scenario like Five Nights At Freddy's happened to the Tales Of Graces family, how do you think they would handle it?
A very interesting question! I will first profess that my knowledge of Five Nights At Freddy’s is limited to what I just read on the wikipedia page so I guess it depends on the scenario.
I think that if we are talking about the entire graces family facing it together, they would be quite fine. Mostly because my understanding of the situation in the game is that the challenge is there is only one person against the different animatronics, and you have to multitask between the cameras, lights and doors. With all 7 of the graces cast, it would be much easier to work together and overcome the challenge. I can see them putting Hubert on the cameras and directing everyone, possibly with help from Malik since Hubert is generally the strongest tactically in terms of figuring out the best defence while conserving power.
I can see Pascal trying to figure out some way to increase their power supply or slow down the animatronics themselves. Asbel would definitely be on one of the doors since he’s fast and would have good reaction time, and would want to be between the threat and his friends. Sophie has mobility too so she might be on a door as well leaving Richard and Cheria on the lights and helping with doors. While Cheria we see in the game is scared of ghosts so I imagine she would be more readily freaked out, in a situation with real danger to her friends and family, I don’t doubt she would step up to the plate despite her fear and help right alongside them.
This is assuming of course, that for whatever reason they are forced to play the game. In most realistic terms, I think that if the animatronics posed a real threat to people, they’d probably end up destroyed by the team (Asbel in particular would not want them running around if they were that dangerous, especially considering kids already got hurt before) and Pascal would make the restaurant a set of miniature mecha party members to take their place.
If it was considering each member to face the challenge individually, that would be a different story. I can see Cheria struggling because we know she is unsettled by ghosts and being alone she would likely struggle more than if she had her friends’ support. If she weren’t afraid I think she’d fare pretty good once she grasped the strategy. I imagine Sophie would have a hard time grasping the concept of watching the screens and only closing doors/flipping lights at the right time to conserve power and would be the most likely to run out of power before the night was up. Pascal would probably be fascinated by all the electronics involved and accidentally let something in when she was distracted. Hubert would probably fare the best overall I think with either Richard or Malik behind him. Asbel isn’t quite as skilled with tactics as Hubert so he might struggle a bit in jumping between and operating all the screens/doors/switches at the right time, though I think he would probably be one of the first to catch onto each animatronic’s movement patterns and habits and would make up for it in that area.
And since I left him out, Lambda would probably have enough of that nonsense on night 1 and smash the animatronics to pieces right then and there to spare himself the trouble.
Lets be entirely real though, no one would die because if anything got into the room they are all strong enough that they would smash it to pieces before they got hurt.
Overall the game seems very strategic once the horror element is removed so the more tactical members of the party would likely fare the best individually, but true to Graces they would all do best when teamed up together and their individual strengths and weaknesses are balanced out.
